Hiroshima — the symbol of hope, transformation and eternity.

In August 1945, at the end of World War II, the Americans dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima, killing tens of thousands.

According to the experts of the time — in the next 70 years it should be impossible to grow anything there, and if someone decides to settle in the city — according to them, he should be doomed to die.

But as early as the summer of the following year, the oleanders bloomed again.

The city rose from the ashes to create its own renaissance.

Today’s Hiroshima is a hospitable, bright and open city, located in a picturesque place on the shores of the Inland Sea of Japan, in a bay with an archipelago of islands, surrounded by three mountains, through its territory flow six rivers.

Sooner or later we all go through difficult times in which we have to accept the situation with the awareness that change is an inevitable part of life and many aspects of the changing world are beyond our control, we cannot control the pace of social change or economic development, but we can accept them by trying to stay motivated, to discover our personal purpose and meaning, and to devote our energy to the things we have control over.

Experiencing difficult times can be traumatic, cause psychological and physical stress, these moments are usually accompanied by feelings of anger, depression, anxiety, insecurity, guilt, sadness … etc., but also with opportunities because we have a choice of how to react if we do not get bogged down in these emotions — we grow out of experience (post-traumatic growth) and discover new aspects of ourselves, we begin to value life and loved ones more (altruism and empathy).

In such moments, we learn how to change and grow. This is a time of transformation, in which we partially redefine ourselves, freeing ourselves from some of our beliefs, roles and attitudes, and building new ones — more authentic.
